Do you have any recommendations for receivers that would work with these speakers?

I have 4 Klipsch speakers that came with 4.1 speakers. The speakers are good, but the subwoofer died a while ago. I have not been able to get it fixed, so I have dumped it. I am wondering if I would be able to use these speakers without the subwoofer. What would I need, in order to use these in a 4.1 (i have subwoofer, not klipsch though) on a desktop with 8 channel audio? I am looking to spend less than 100$. I have tried to directly connect them to my desktop, but I guess the power isn't enough for the speakers. Thank you in advance for any help.
