  1. Hi Dr.Who I replaced the tweeters and squakers about a year and a half ago with little or no improvement the general concensus on the forum seems to be the crossovers. swithched chorus's with my forte's and sound was much better. switched chorus's with 3 of my amps and no difference there. I surely dont think its my lexicon DC2 causing the problem. anything over 50-60 watts and they start sounding really harsh.also speakers dont sound the same as one another(balanced). If you have another idea of what might be the culprit I would greatly appreciate your input. Thanks, Kevin
  2. Hi My chorusII's are sounding a bit harsh these days and would like some one to rebuild the crossovers. please contact me if interested. thanks, Kevin
  3. Hi, right from the get go these speakers just didnt sound as good as my forte's. I took one back and swapped it with another and it was better, but have never been 100% satisfied like iam with my other klipsch products. 2 years ago I replaced the mids and tweaters and still they just didnt sound clear or equal. I dont have the knowledge you gentelman have, but I do have an ear for sound and these speakers just dont sound right. thanks kevin
  4. hi, believe it or not I too am in belvidere, farmington fields subdivision, said rockford figuring no one heard of belvidere. that would be great if we could get together.
  5. yes its alot , but its like owning a ferrari, you know its there, but you never really use it. I never turn my volume to a point of clipping or distortion. the chorusll's are the only ones giving me an issue. I switched the forte's and the chorus ll's and the forte's sound fine. which by the way has anyone heard of klipsch making 4 ohm speakers, because thats what my forte's are. thanks kevin
  6. yes one is harsh with plenty of base, the other quite a bit smoother and not much base. thanks kevin
  7. the parts were klipsch, yes they are wired in phase, and yes the sub kicks butt. one woofer sounds much stronger than the other, and the other speaker is much clearer than the other, I know it sounds strange, no pun intended but thats the only way i can desribe them right now. thanks kevin
  8. Hi I have a pair of chorus ll's for my fronts, a KTLCR for my center. A pair of forte's for my sides a pair of RS3's in the rear and a ksw15 subbing it up.All controlled by a lexicon DC2 and powered by 2 carver av806"s and a TFM-55X. The 55x powers the fronts 380 per channel. The rest are all bridged to 360 per channel except for the sub of course. my problem is movies sound phenominal but my 2 channel music is sounding mediocre at best. Are my choruses just out of date?are there upgrades i can perform to them? Last year I replaced the mids and tweaters and it helped a little but they still arent cutting it.any help would be gretly appreciated. kevin
