  1. I am looking at getting the LG 42PC1DA. The reviews I have read have been pretty good, it looked good in the store, but I want some real world advice from an owner if there is one on these forums. How do you like it? Picture quality? Thanks!
  2. Thanks for the info Bill. Again, great forum! Kind of hesitant in cutting a couple of 10" holes in my ceiling, but it sounds like the best idea. I don't know Bose marketing plan, but it sure is brilliant. Every electronic store (that is not high end) compares everything to Bose. They have brainwashed the masses! Thanks again for the input. John
  3. I am currently using some of the nasty "B words" (Bose), but am in the process of planning my upgrade. I can really fit any L, C, R speakers I want in my room...the problem is the rear. I could mount some smaller ones from the ceiling, but wonder if the reference in-ceiling sound better then, say, a pair of quintet 3 speakers for back there. Eventually (couple of years) we will remodel and have a room dedicated to HT, but now I have to make due with what I can. Thanks for the info. John
  4. Basically, how do they sound? I have a 20' by 20' room, and would love to hide some as rears, but I don't want to lose the Klipsch sound. I am limited on my rear speaker placement right now, and was considering Quintet III rears, but thought I would try this avenue first. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Great forum by the way...I am new to it, and love the info and helpfulness everyone gives.
  5. Upside down because of the pedastal/mounting stand they come with. I guess I could always go with floor stands for the fronts...the rears I am going to have to put up top though...should that still sound acceptable?
  6. Good morning all. I have a quick question about placement of the Quintet system. Basically, what it boils down to is this: What is the optimal placement of the speakers? Ceiling, floor, etc.? How bad will they sound if I place them in the ceiling near the front and rear corners of the room, upside down. I have space and wife limitations as far as what I can do right now with placement. Thanks for the info!
