sorry forgot to add on last post my yamaha 659 receiver has doesn't say lfe out but subwoofer in the pre out section and i connected that to the lfe jack on the sub the reason i ask is there is also a subwoofer jack on the multichannel input side.which one?

hi i opened my sub 10 and set it up as all speakers small even though my mains have 10"woofers and go to about 38 hertz. i have the receiver set to 80 hertz and the sub crossover all the way up is that correct. and where can i find this article you say on klipsch corner would love to read it. well i hope mine lasts longer than some of the other guys on this forum .just used it today and is my first sub what a difference now i don't think i can live without it.thanks. i noticed you said i could use the subs crossover also any quick setting suggestions ?

hi i am going to hook a yamaha 659 receiver for the first time and my question is when i hook the s video for my tv from the receiver what channel does the tv have to be on for the on screen display to show up on the tv? is it on ch 3 or 4 like a vcr or is it the video input button on the tv ex. video 1 video 2 .thanks and Merry Christmas.

hi i have a sub 10 and a yamaha 659 receiver my question is when i set the receiver crossover to lets say 80 hertz what do i set the sub at if the receiver is doing the crossover work . also my rear surrounds are rated at 80 hertz do i set my crossover at about 90 ? merry christmas.

have a question on sub setting my main speakers are boston acoustic 10" woofer 38 hertz my rears are 80 hertz do i set all speakers to small and if so with the frequency of the rears what do i set the sub and the reciever at the reciever is a yamaha 659.thanks

whats the deal with all the busted sub 10's i also bought one on black friday at best buy whats the problem ?

are you talking about the woofer itself touching the wall if its that close depending on the throw of the woofer has it might touch the wall i dont know if this is the answer your looking for?

hi i have a question for you av gurus i bought a yamaha rx659 reciever and i am going to hook it up to my dish network model 510 its a dvr model my hookup is going to be the s video and the optical digital output my question is now i have the cable line coming in to reciever then out to my vcr then on to the tv these connections are on my old sony reciever yet. my question is its hooked up to watch the satellite without having my reciever on all the time.this connection is i left the satellite cable line to the tv when i hook up my new yamaha i want to hook it so i dont have to have the reciever on all the time to get satellite sound and video to the tv? any help is great.

hi have some confusing questions for you speaker gurus i am kind of limited in space as far as placement for my surrounds . they are direct radiating bookshelf speakers . they are currently on 2 coffee tables about ear level .read some articles that said maybe place them hi on back wall facing into the room is this a good idea kind of limited on side wall placement am open to ideas or things you guys have tried or different placement ideas thanks alot.

hi been seeing a lot of sub 10s on the forum just bought one on black friday whats seems to be the major problem? am i going to be diappointed hope not never had a sub but now cant see being without it.

hi i have a question if i want my sub to work with 2 ch audio cds do i use the speaker wire connection set up but do i use the line out rca to get the best from movies or do i use all 3 connections at the same time and if so will they conflict .or should i just use the line out and be happy with my mains picking up the bass boston acoustic A100s with a 10" woofer thanks.

hi i just bought a synergy sub 10 (my first sub) and a yamaha 659 receiver can anyone suggest a bunch of good dvds to dial in the placement and settings on my sub and receiver as well as the rest of my speakers? and is the avia test disc worth the money to dial in my tv also thanks.

hi new to the forum geat place just bought a sub 10 doesnt sound like anybody is having good luck with them hope mine works better .going to be setting it up my question is the only place i have the room to put it is on the side wall but that whole wall is a picture window any suggestions?heard corners are bad .i have a set of boston acoustics A100 been great to me frequency is 38 hertz should i set them to small and let the sub do it all or set to large and mix reciever is a new yamaha 659 thanks. by the looks of this forum there seems to be a lot of knowledgable people here.
