Guys, I know it has been a while since I first posted this, but my friend is now willing to part ways with his Belles. He found a serial number with some papers and it's 3U709 Model BK-WO. I know this means more to you than it does to me. 1980. So if anyone is still interested let me know. Thanks again for all the info and banter. Wendy

Hi Guys, I'm enjoying the banter and will post what I have, but there is a reason this guy still has the speakers after all these years even though he doesn't use them....inertia! There are no tags on the back. He's looking for the serial number. When I checked them out I didn't notice any tags, but wrote down a number from each that was on a metal bell like part located near the top of the speaker (real technical, right?). The numbers were 123069 and 121215. I've haven't relayed the price discussion -- he will be disappointed. Here are a couple of picts. Best, Wendy

Thanks for the help. I am going to pull together all the suggested info mentioned in your posts. What I have now is listed below in an email I sent out to Bill for his friend. What I do know is that the speakers appear to have the mahogany finish. The top surfaces will need some work (they are only in fair condition--water marks). They are located in Hillsborough, NC. I am supposed to be researching the price, but he believes they are a collector's item and will command a good amount. I will work on getting the tag info. Best, Wendy Wendy

Hi. I've agreed to help a friend sell his speakers (Belle Klipsch pre early80's) and I have no idea where to post them so that they will move and he will get a good price.
