  1. I am thinking about pulling the trigger on:

    RC-64

    RF-63's

    and

    RS-62's

along with my Paradigm DSP 3400 sub.

I love my CF-3's. They are the best speaker I have had for live music videos and 2 ch audio, but maybe not the well suited for digital home theater.

Current system specs are listed below.

    What do you think?

  2. I am looking to add a subwoofer to my home theater and need some advise from the experts. The room is 12x14 (carpet) with vaulted ceilings, left side is mostly open to a large kitchen area (all hardwood), right side has a large bay window, and the front wall has a 4'x8' hallway opening. If the sub needs to be placed against front wall it will have to be fairly small, my tv and speakers leave little room for a sub. There is plenty of room along the back wall, but this might not be an ideal location.

See signature for my current equipment list.

    Thanks for the help!

  3. hi guys,

hopefully this post makes sense. i currently am borrowing a harmon/kardon avr 80 that i use the multi channel analog inputs to listen to music and movies. my denon 2910 handles all the processing.

anyway, i may have to give the HK back so i'm looking for a cheap, yet quality, similiar solution.

do you guys know of any old prologic quality pre/pro out there that would still be easy to find. the only requirement i have is that it has 5.1 channel analog inputs. also, the only reason i mention pro-logic is because i'm assuming those would be cheaper and i don't really need/want to pay for a funtionality my dvd player will do. if i can find a good pre/pro then i'll probably just buy a nice 5 channel amp and upgrade the pro logic pre/pro later when i have the money.

i'm about to go back to school so money will be tight again. thanks for all the help. hopefully this question made sense.

p.s. i don't really want to spend more than $300 on this, $200 would be great. :)

I have a Denon 3030 for sale. It is a killer Pro Logic amp

  4. Any good systems or contraptions or such for the mess of wires behind my rack. My rack is open so all of the inter conects, speaker wires, componet, composite, and HDMI oh my. Let alone power cords and coax cable with the surge protector. Can they be wound, can they be looped or can they be figure eighted. Need to straighten up a little even though I'm a function over form guy.

The best product I have found is Panduit Wire Duct.

  5. Why not just give it a try, should make a difference for the better. A pair is better but if you only have provisions for a single I would certainly give it a try.

There is a KV-4 on eBay right now which is the correct center for your Epic series speakers, it will make a difference in your front stage since the KLF-C7 is designed for the Legend (KLF) series speakers.

I will try it with the SS1's for surrounds.

Thanks for the heads up on the KV4. I am very happy with the C7, it is by no means a third CF3, but works very well

  6. I had the same experience. Take the grill off and GENTLY push the cone in and out using all five fingers in a circle. You will hear the voice-coil rubbing on the armature. The speaker frame is made of Swanson's pie pans and is easily bent in transit (this was not a finer moment for Klipsch). Inspect it carefully after removing it and you will see in which direction it is tilted. Carefully return it to square, retest for rubbing, repeat if necessary. Put it all back together. Enjoy.
