  1. Sorry for not replying for a while.... I finally went in to buy my system, was looking at the Quintets/F1/F2 at Best buy. I was lucky to find they had all three set-up side by side. The quintets sounded great... for tiny speakers. You could definitly tell they lacked what the larger towers had. (admitedly, there was no sub). The F2 provided incredible quality sound, much more so than the F1 system. Much to my disapointment, they were out of stock. [] With money burning a hole in my pocket I ended up getting a Infinity Primus P362,PC250,P162 setup. (sorry, probley don't want to hear that on this forum). I got a very good deal and am very happy with the quality. (Liked the look of the black F2's better). To anyone else I'd recommend the quintets only if size is a critical issue, skip the F1's and definitly go for the F2's.
  2. Thanks for the suggestions! I think I'll forget about the F1's as you suggest... they look quite a step below the F2's in specs. I'll get the Quintets for now, can always exchange them if not what I expect.
  3. After reading up on these forums I've observed many people say to avoid the quintets if you can. I was planning on getting these but could swing for some larger speakers if it will give me a better movie experience. Will the F1 Home Theater package (paired with a Polk PSW10 sub) be a better option? I can get the F1's, C1, & S1's at best buy. Best buy also has the F2 and B2 available but no C2. Are these a major step up? Would I just be better of with the matched F1 system? Thanks for any help.
  4. Hello, first time posting, hope someone can help me with a few questions... I have just purchased a pioneer VSX-1016TXV reciver and a Quintet III system to go with it. I have a small living room area, low ceiling, use the system for movies only, lower budget, already own a Polk PSW-10 sub. Space is a issue, (hence the quintets), and clarity/quality is desired over loud/stylish. I haven't recived the system yet and am curious: Are the Quintets are a good match with this reciver? With the PSW10? If I were to buy a set of main speakers, would anything match well with the quintets? Would I be good to just get a larger center to match the new mains? (I was thinking along the lines of some Synergy F1/F2's.) I've read up on the importance of timber matching speakers and am wondering what if anything would match these little satellites. Would there even be much of an advantage of having large fronts anyway? Thanks for any help!
