I have recently inherited a pair of 1980 Heresy speakers. What would be the sound quality of these versus the new Heresy III ?

I have recently acquired two Heresy and one RC3-II center channel speakers. The serial numbers on the Heresys are sequential with one being-HBR-103U334. I have a Denon AVR-3802 receiver. I have an RBH speaker system now with MC-6C left and right front, 6" in wall rear, 6" in ceiling surround and a TS12A 12" powered subwoofer. I have replaced the front right, left and center with the Klipsch. The RC3-II sounds very dull while the other two sound great. Any ideas on the best configuration of the system? Do the Heresys need upgrades?
