False or true, I don't really know, I haven't tried yet for myself and anyway it's not important since music is supposed to be mostly listened in 2-ch mode . Well got to go ... back on Klipsch's

Btw here is my final-setup : - RF62/RC62/RS52 : why RF62 ? just an apportunity to buy them very cheap, a shop that was closing next to my home. RC62 for timbre match (same low frequency drivers size as RF62). RS52 because they were sold in the pack. Just plugged RF62/RC62 for the moment ; RC62 is very clear, powerful, really excellent. RF62 are nice, well balanced. I can feel there is a little room for improvement but I have to wait 20-30 hours from what i've read to get the best of it. Don't know if I'll be able to do 5 channels music with RS52. Overall quality of manufacturing is excellent. - Receiver : listened to both Onkyo TX-SR674 and Yamaha RX-V1600, in stereo. There was not a huge difference between them. Onkyo was a bit more bright, with voices (medium) much more "in front of the scene" (hard to explain for me). Yamaha was more dynamic especially for the bass, and more balanced. And supposed to be better for HC. I've finally choosen the Yamaha.

Finally after listenning I picked up a Yam Rx-v1600. Onkyo was not really far, just a bit less dynamic and powerful in bass and so more bright in the medium (well to my noob ears...). Cya

Thanks all for your replies Finally i picked up RF62/RC62/RS52 ...just like a miracle, a shop that was closing and selling this kit for the same price as RF62/RC62 only. F3 are supposed to be excellent too from what I've read. Now have to choose the amp, thinking about Onkyo TX-SR674 or Yam RX-V1600 or Cambridge 540r v2.... (btw if anyone has experience with one of them on RF62, i'd be interested in knowing how it rates). Thxs again !

Hi, I might have the opportunity to buy Synergy F3/C3 for the same price as RF62/RC62. I want to associate them with an Onkyo TX-SR674 (or Yam RX-V1600 I hesitate...) for 70% music / 30% HC in a 22m2 room. Which speaker combo would you advice ?

Thanks a lot for your wise advice James. Indeed option 3 seems to be a better choice considering music. I just hope that the RC52 will fit with the RF62 speakers (probably more powerful). Finally, as you mentionned it, I hope I can find a shop to listen to that, at least to the difference between RF52 and RF62 floorstanders. Actually that's how I've started to be interested in Klipsch's speakers, hearing F1 Synergy compared to other brands in a dedicated room. Chorus 726S JM Labs were not bad to my hears too, but with a very different sound. I'll let you know...

Sure but RF-82 are really more expensive here. I was thinking of : 1)- RF15 - RC52 -Velodyne CHT8R (1250 ) 2)- RF52 - RC52 -Velodyne CHT8R (+100, dunno if it's worth the case) 3)- RF62 + RC52 without sub (1250 ). For the extra-gain of RF62 while living without sub. Hard choice... []

F-1 HT system is actually what i listened (1000 here). >> How would it compare to a rf15 (or rf52 or rb81, that's my deal...) coupled with center RC-52 ? For the sub i'd rather go for Velodyne CHT-8R (just advices i got), but i'm not fixed. I know that the price of a reference system is higher than a synergy one, but then i would keep my old Akai speakers for surround (hope sounds not too bad in HT...). HI, Just new to his forum and HT. I listened Klipsch Synergy (F1/S1/C1) on a Marrantz receiver and I liked F1 a lot compare to other brands (S1 and C1 were more common to my hears). I'm going to purchase a receiver, very probably Onkyo TX-SR674. For 70 % music (reggae, pop, classic), 30 % HT, in a 22 m2 room (not dedicated). I need now to choose 2 front speakers, 1 central, and 1 sub. For the surrounds I'll probably keep my old Akai speakers. Could you pleaaase advice me some klipsch speakers for that, for a budget ~1200 $ ? I would go for the Synergy i've heard, but I've read here that Reference series should be better (never heard them for myself), then what set-up would you advice ? Thxs and sorry if that question has been asked many times ....
