I have the same problem, I bought the promedia 4.1 set. Don't remember if it is the v.2 400 or the 4.1. All I know is that 2 years after I bought them they quit working, I heard a loud pop. So I ordered a new control pod, the one they told me to get. I plugged it in and nothing. I don't get a led light on the pod to come on or nothing. Well that was 2 years ago, I got off of the computer and hadn't got back on till now, I built a new gaming rig and I need some new sounds.I tested all 4 satellites and they work great, just no sub and no power on the control pod. I checked the fuse and the fuse was ok. I went to radio shack and got the 5 amp 250 volt slow burn fuse. I opened up the sub and I did see a small resistor that was burnt, R12. If I desolder the r12 and put a new resistor on the board, do you think that will fix it??? This is a pain in the neck, I am trying to go off of the color code chart, but the 4 rings on the resistor are hard to distinguish color, it looks like black, white, orange, black. and it cannot start with black, right?
Can anyone tell me the color code for the R12 resistor? Please
