  1. I've got time on my hands at the moment so I'd like to have the stands built before I get the speakers home. Know what I mean?
  2. I'm about to build some stands for my RB-81's. I was wondering if anyone knew the exact engineering specs of the holes placement (dimensions) on the speaker's bottom? I'm also wondering where the center of gravity is? I noticed that the threads seem to not be located right in the center, they are more towards the rear, of the speaker so it has me wondering.
  3. What software did you use to create the views?
  4. I have a Samsung HD841. The remote has a jog wheel on it.
  5. I was hoping they were Rhodium flashed brass or copper. That would give them that metallic shine similar to nickel. I highly doubt it though.[]
  6. I just purchased some RB81's and was sort of disappointed that the binding posts look like they are nickel plated. The straps also looked fairly cheap. I have a friend who has the RB75's which have gold plated posts and nice straps. I figured for nearly twice the price of the RB61's that the 81's would have better quality posts. I've already replaced the straps with short pieces of 14 gauge OFC. What are the binding posts made of anyway, nickel plated copper, brass, steel or something else?
  7. I think the dealer list price on that is around $900 CAD. You got a real steal there. Don't confuse it with the RW-10d or RSW-10 they are different animals all together.
  8. I recently bought some RB-81's and a RC-62 and absolutely love them. I scoured the net looking for SPL graphs of the RB-61 but couldn't find any. I did find one on the RB-81 and RC-62 at Home Theater Mag. I listened to the RB-61's vs the RB-81's at the dealer and the 81's sounded a bit fuller. They are big for a bookshelf speaker. I'm going to get the RF-82's eventually so to match the 8" woofers all around (spare the center...too bad) I think the 81's were the best bet. The power handling will also match all the way around at 150W. The 81's are considerably more expensive than the 61's however. The list price from my dealer for a pair of 61's was $649 and the 81's were $989 for a pair (I didn't pay list price though). You could always put the money you save into something else like a better DVD player, upgrade your receiver, or whatever. Of course you might always have that burning question in the back of your mind of what if I got the 81's. Let your own ears be the judge as everyone has different opinions.
  9. I moved the TV forward about 3" and it seemed to fix the problem. When I move the speakers into a proper HT room I will be getting a bigger flat panel TV or maybe a projector so the issue will be moot then. Thanks for you excellent comments.
  10. I've got a pair of RB81's for FL/FR and a RC62 for my center. I love the way they sound. So detailed and accurate. I plan on getting some RF82's for fronts eventually. Too bad Klipsch doesn't make a center with two 8" woofers. I'd then have 8's all the way around. Hopefully Klipsch R&D will read this post.
  11. I just bought a RC-62, 4 RB-81's and a RW-12d. I love the way they sound but am having a problem with magnetic interference from the center channel on my Samsung SlimFit HDTV. The center channel is on a glass shelf which is about 3 or 4 inches above the TV. There appears to be no interference from the RB81's. My Cerwin Vega center, which the Klipsch is replacing, didn't have this problem (I'm sure its magnets are a lot smaller though). I thought the RC62 was supposed to be magnetically shielded. Anyone know what's up?
