  1. I went through thtree Sub 10's from BB and one of the three had a different physical layout of switches on the rear. The Sub with the different layout (Line In and LFE jacks were installed horizontally from eachother) worked fine and was identical to the Sub used in the demo at BB. The other two Subs I had which didn't work had the Line In and LFE jacks mounted vertically from eachother. The owners manual for all three subs on pg 4 pictured layout of the jacks mounted vertically. I am not sure if the Sub 10's with problems had jacks mounted vertically of eachother.
  2. They (BB) wouldn't for me. Sub 10 was bought for $279, Sub 12 reg. price is $499. I would have had to pay the difference from sale price to reg. price. Its not worth the $220 price increase.
  3. I'll join the BB Synergy Sub 10 bandwagon. I'm 0 for 2 on new subs from them. WTF? It doesn't seem any particular store (been to two different BB's), just the product.

  5. Oakleeman, I've got the same problem with my Sub 10. Only thing is, this is my 2nd Sub purchased and returned for the exact same problem...moaning sound. I've had both subs for less than 10 days. BRAND NEW. I have the Yamaha HTR-5940 and Klipsch quintet III and sub 10 (exact same setup as in the demo at BB) and exact same setup on the receiver menus and Sub 10 switches...still moaning. Moans even when I disconnect the sub cable and leave it plugged in. Ohmed out the cable, all good. Used a different cable, no different. Did I make a mistake with this? Two subs, same problem, one was returned (I could see the old shipping address to a customer back in Dec 06) and this one, brand new.
