JanR . . . With all that beautiful wood and the speakers, it looks like it could be in Norway . . . wait . . . It is in Norway! Hope you are enjoying your modifications . . . A joy to see, even if you never turn the audio on! Really nice setup!
Hehe, thx.
I am, very. ALK horn stays. But...i'd like to have them in the original top's. Or maybe build new top's in the same finish - look as the original one's.
ALK horn is bit bigger (taller) than the original horn's så tweeter won't fit. Ahh well, no rush, need something to do when the winther comes

Testing some ALK horns w/JBL drivers.
All three, Altec 511B/original khorn/ALK horn
And let me put it this way, ALK is by far the "best" one

Playroom for the kids and me
They play wii and dad play music, a lot of music.
Found some pic's from x-mas 09.
Still got some work to do, maybe this summer. New floor, maybe put up a wall close to the fireplace to hide the tv and soundsystem/wii and so on.

Atm using Altec horns (511) with JBL (2470) 1" drivers.
Using a "bass amplifier", kit from Amplimo (A-180) and a DIY 2A3 amplifier on the JBL's - Crites tweeters.
JBL vs EV
Bassamp with Marchand x-overs. (450hz/24db)

very nice JanR
Thank you
Some pics from a norwegian "hifi" forum.
Those subs are huge, 120cmx120cmx60cm.
A friend of mine bought them but way to big for his livingroom so a friend of him borrows them atm.
Look at pictures

I can't make out the detail of the black cubes in front of the KHorns... subs?
Naa, it's a couple of Altec horns.
No match for the khorns of course
But i am thinking about getting me two hornsubs.

A couple of updated photos.
The micro Seiki is the primary source.
A few minor "upgrades" in the khorns, got 2 Atlas midrange drivers from a mate. The original drivers was EV.
Kinda like the Atlas better.
