  1. the Monster Home Theater Reference HTS2600MKll has about 630 joules i believe it is. i have read some pretty good reviews on it. that should be plenty you think. either way i dant wait to get my new stuff next month(july)
  2. i was thinking x4 RVX-54 floorstands, 1 center, and 1 10' sunfire subwoofer.
  3. im just going to go with the Monster Home Theater Reference HTS2600MKll, but thanks !
  4. I have everything for our home theater picked for purchase except the 4 floorstands. I would like to know has anyone heard, or own either the RF-62 or the RVX-54 floorstands. What are the size differences, clarity , bass ? is the bass horrible on the RVX-54 ? im dont really listen to music much in the living room. either way though when it comes down to it music is going to sound good on any of these speakers...its Klipsch! I was almost certain on the RF-62 models, then I seen the RVX-54 and it looks more like what im looking for. we watch alot of dvds, and i play xbox 360. the physical size of the RVX-54 looks like what i would want as well. i have considered the 63 & 83 as well but they are rather large speakers. any opinions/experiences would be very helpful.... -jdbrown_82
  5. thanks guys. as far as an amp goes im not going to use one, just the reciever. good advice though, i keep it in mind. never know i may end up with a amp before its all said and done.
  6. That's what you left off your list: Plastic slipcovers for seating - $75.[] lol, lmao ! i love watching movies like that. i have the box set of Friday the 13th, and nighmare on elm st. we have over 350 dvds, & i want them to rock.
  7. haha, wet their pants..thats great! yes definitely im all ears. i guess my reason for the smaller speakers is the physical size difference. how big are the rf-63 and/or rf-82 models compared to the 62 & 82? have you ever seen the synergy series F-3, im guess the 63-83 models are the same size physically. im just not sure i want that big of speakers. although with the amount of money im going to be spending, i want something, kick a$$! i also want components that will last. im tired of the old walmart surround sound systems. Or old recievers, big concert sized speakers, etc. im sure you know what im talking about. Another thing im definitely done with is hanging bookshelf speakers. i always hated hanging speakers. in the end it never looks good i dont think. im looking at this as an investment. we watch alot of dvds with friends and family and i also play video games...so i want this to be fun and to last. also im looking at the klipsch speakers as i type this, what about the RVX-54 ? that said, i think you just talked me into upgrading once again. i cant say it enough, thanks alot guys...i appreciate it. i have had alot of speakers and etc myself but nothing of this caliber..all the advice is welcome, im all ears! -Jessie
  8. anyone here have the monster surge pro i mentioned above ?
  9. thanks alot guys. right now im pretty well set on getting a pioneer receiver and dvd player. im going back and forth alot doing research on both. features for the money, you know the game. i want as much as i can get. for example the denon reciever vs the pioneer reciever $1,500-$2,000 price range.... the pioneer is 140 watts x7, the denon is 130x7, the pioneer has 4 hmi inputs, the denon only has 3. same as the dvd players, check both to see what they upscale too, etc. the place im going to buy my stuff from sales denon more, and they are a little biased towards it. i have never owned a denon though but i do know they are nice. they also sale B&W speakers as well and they are trying to talk me into them...(not to bad or i would shop elsewhere, you know.) here is my FINAL list of compontents that im going to purchase. man did it take me forever to deside or what. alot of money being spend though, i dont want sh*% ! *TV- Pioneer Elite Pro-1540 60' plasma *Reciever- Pioneer Elite VSX-84TSXi *DVD Player- Pioneer Elite BDP-HD1 Blue Ray DVD player *Floorstand(s)- Klipsch RF-62 -x4 in quanity *Center- Klipsch RC-62 *Subwoofer- Klipsch RSW-10d *Remote- MX650 OR MX850 (you can see the remotes at www.universalremote.com, look under professional) *Surge Pro- Monster Home Theater HTS 2600 MK2 what do you guys think of the list ? im excited as H*el -jessie

  11. thanks alot for the advice everyone. i will post what i find if i go with the belkin. im still doing some researching myself for features/prices etc. .
  12. Today I went to the other buisness i mentioned above to check out some of the klipsch reference models and various recievers. first off i must say when i enter they only had one pair of bookshelf reference models. they just now started carring klipsch. they did on the other hand have a big selection of B&W (bowers and wilkins). i must admit they looked and sounded awesome. they had some of their higher end 800 models as well. they sell for $11k a pair. Wow i was thinking. but when its all said and done, what kind of klipsch fan would i be if i went those right?!...besides, they are hideous looking. below is my updated list at about 90% final. I may get a smaller or bigger reciever, or tv. im not sure on those yet as the new pioneer plasmas are suppost to be out around august. Television- Pioneer Elite Pro1540HD -60' Plasma Reciever- Denon AVR-4306 DVD player- Denon DVD 1930ci Floorstand(s)- x4 Klipsch RF-62 Center- Klipsch Rc-62 Subwoofer- Klipsch RW-12 Anyone who has any experience or knowledge about/with the above items please post. i would love to hear from you, this is a big investment im making. -jdbrown_82
  13. yes their stuff definitely is high. especially their hdmi cables. im going to check out some reciever and klipsch speakers at a dealer this week. ill post my comments after as im going to check out their surge protectors as well.
  14. just get a power supply and then use a car stereo amp.. bet you could get some major wattage.... i kid, i kid ! [] later, going to eat some left over [pi]
  15. they make nicely made hdmi cable etc but it is still not very clear though test after test fail to conclude a double blind test to conclude people can actually hear a difference in cable. Unless the wire is poorly made (i.e. not properly test or falling apart) the video and audio should be fine. i agree 100%. i cant wait to actually get all this so i can post pics
  16. thanks a whole lot guys, ill definitely check those out. i know monster makes some really good hdmi/component etc. cables. but i had/have no idea about their surge protectors. i have been a fan of that brand for awhile. but like i said ill def check those others out. + i need a good one for the pc. for two computers that is..
  17. your exactly right. i want great surround sound, and long lasting. its not the budget im worried about (been saving a long time). i just figured i would get the smaller models. but i DO want them to last and sound great so ill probably just go ahead and opt for the higher end models. i listen to music in my car, and on my pc mostly. i also play electric guitar so i record with the pc as well. I live in what they call the Bootheel of Missouri.
  18. definitely try what he ^^^ suggested. this is my procedure as well. Also i have gotten some good results from putting it beside a couch or recliner facing sideways; vs the usual facing forward. the best spot is in the floor a couple inches in front of the tv In my opinion. then thats if your willing to rip up the floor. no biggy , lol !
  19. Monster Power Center MP HDP 2400 i have been directed to this surge protecter a few times now. what are you opinions on this item ? will be hooking up plasma tv, xbox360 reciever, dvd changer to it. if not this protector; any suggestions ? !
  20. i am going to a different store this week to check out some Denon and Pioneer Elite Recievers. Along with the Advice from those here whom have offered it; I have been putting alot of thought into this investment. that said i am now considering opting for the RF-62 models or RF-82.(maybe bigger)..that AND the 12' sub. Go big or go home..right !!
  21. to answer dr.who's questions. it has nothing to do with funds. im going with the smaller 10' sub because i want to. the 10 inch will provide smaller puncher bass which is just what i want. also i listen to rock/heavy metal music so im not to much into bass, but i do like it. i did consider buying a ps3 after my first 360 broke but in the end i got another 360. i may still buy a ps3 later i dunno. thanks for the advice though. today i went and checked out the klipsch reference series speakers. i went to the dealer i was talking about a couple posts up. let me tell, they where way nicer than the synergy series. definitely worth the price difference. they sounded great. i watch a little bit of Star Wars Episode One with them in a sound proof room. im even more excited about purchasing them now! here is the setup i have so far...what do you guys think ? 4 Klipsch RF-52 floorstands - 1 Klipsch RC-10 Center - 1 Klipsch RW-10d Yamaha RX-V1700 Reciever Yamaha DVD-C950 5 disc dvd changer Panmax M5100-EX surge protector the tv we are still not sure on. we did see a 70' sony lcd project tv. man was that huge. but i am still looking at the Pioneer Elite 60' plasma. i do like how there was no glair from the lcd televisions though. what do you guys think about the tv type ? i want the best if you know what i mean. 1080 resolution, HDMI,you name it ..... also i have been klipsch and pioneer fan for years. i have been looking at the pioneer elite recievers and dvd changers too. so the question is "Pioneer or Yamaha ?
