  1. Hey falcon20x, first of thanks for replying to my query, greatly appreciated... I did a factory reset, and set everything up again, and now all is working perfectly (is very loud at 30 DB), am reminded of how awesome HK amps are, the audio quality and fidelity kills what the AVR 7000 was, but then again quite a few years of advanced technology to help... My only concern with the 645, is that I have not yet heard the fan kick in, the unit is warm to touch...hotter than what my HK 7000 was...anyone know at what temperature the fan is meant to kick on at? I have the unit in a theatre stand with probably .5 inch space on the sides, and 4-5 inches of space above it, both front and back of the theatre unit is open. Thxs once again.
  2. Hi Guys, Went out today and bought a HK AVR-645, after my HK AVR-7000 decided to kick it in after 8 years... Have a quick question to ask in regards to the AVR-645 and a new set of Klipsch F2 speakers I just purchased as well... It seems that the volume level on the AVR-645 is not very loud running them with the Klipsch F2's...I have my Gen 5 IPOD connected with the volume level of the IPOD set to default, and I need to raise the volume on the AVR-645 to -30 before I even begin hearing any sound from the speakers... So I have to go from -80 to -30 before I can hear anything, can this be right? What a waste of potential volume range. The AVR-645 EzSet adjustment for the speakers is set to 0db, which is the default... Do I need to purchase a pre-amp or something for the 645, I would have believed that it would be able to run the F2's to a decent level without the need for one.... My AVR-7000 used to be way louder than this, and used to be able to hear music from the speakers at a volume level around -60. On the bass level, the system is amazing, I am running the sub pre-output of the AVR-645 into a Rotel RC-972 pre-amp and then into a Rotel RB-1090, which is then running three 15-inch JL Audio Enclosed Subs (each sub is a dual 6 ohm voice coil running in series, and then the three subs, connected in parallel to get a 4 ohm load to run bridged on the RB-1090)...and the bass is amazing both with Music and HT material, yet the F2 are no where near as loud... Any feedback would be appreciated...
