  1. I looked at the Onkyo TX-SR804, do you recommend that one if I can get it for around 600 bucks?

    Thanks!

    Miguel

many have complained in avsforum.com that sr804 has humming problem ..I dont mean to scare u, but it's always helpful to read those posts b4 you buy.. (just my $0.02)

  2. Hi everyone this is what i have now.

Onkyo 7.1-Channel Home Theater Receiver (605) 90 watts per channel

    Sony Blu-ray Disc Player (BDP-S300)

I was thinking about this speaker setup.

    Center Channel: RC-52

    Floorstanding :RF-52

    Bookshelf:RB-51

    Subwoofer:RW-10d

just curious if that Onkyo receiver is sufficient to drive those speakers..waiting for other members to respond.

  3. Thanks for all your advice guys. I don't want to spend more than 1200 on a reciever, so i am really leaning towards the H/K AVR 645, it looks great and is second to best in Harmans lineup of recievers, although, it does state only 75 watts per chanel, is that enough? My friend told me Harman/Kardon recievers are really efficient and is actually more than enough for the system I am getting.

    Thanks!

    Miguel

have you thought about Yamaha HTR-6060 ($500) at vanns.com ? it has HDMI, XM-HD and 105 Watts x 7 Channels

  4. Don't be rude..............If I'm not happy with price I just walk away, they usually follow you, changing their price....Money Talks, but there again, at my age they know I'm not kidding.........20% is a very fair starting point........if they think your serious, and just not window shopping they tend to give in.

hmm.. so it always helps to catch hold of some loyal customer and then follow up right?
