  2. I have a pair of nice mid eighties Cornwalls that I rebuilt last year. They have new crossovers, new 15" drivers and ct-125s all from Bob C. I am looking to buy a nice 2 channel amp that would match up with these. This is my second pair of Cornwalls. I had a pair in the late seventies matched up with a Nakamichi 610/620 combo. I liked them alot. Can someone give me some advice on some nice sounding amps for these. I know a lot of people would advise tubes, maybe I should...thanks in advance....Randy (PS if anyone has a 610/620 for sale i'm interested)
  3. thank you....so is this on the back near the terminals....I see nothing at all.....Randy
  4. good afternood....I have an old pair of cornwalls that I can't find the s/n on. They have been refinished in oak so the s/n may have been covered up. I opened one up and found that they have type b3 crossovers, K77m and K-57-K horns and I suspect a replacement Eminence 15" driver. Can anyone give me an aprox. age....thanks Randy
  5. I guess I didn't answer all...yes I believe it is harsh at all volumes....thanks
  6. piont 2 is interesting....wasn't aware of a setting to control gain on the crossover...have had these opened many times though....what do I look for? thanks
  7. thanks Tom.I find that the mid horns are very harsh with the Yamaha...I use an eq and lower the mid levels alot....don't know if my ears are just getting old or if I could improve on my amp....thanks
  8. Anyone know how a vintage Marantz 2200 or 2300 series would sound on cornwalls? thanks
  9. thank you all for the replys...sounds like a lot would favor tubes...anyone know how a vintage Marantz 2200 or 2300 series would sound on cornwalls? thanks
  10. good afternoon...would like to buy a new power amp that would match up with my cornwalls. I am currently using a Yamaha mx-600u power amp and I was wondering about the Yamaha M80 or M85 having class A. 20 years ago I had a different pair of cornwalls and a Nakamichi 620 power amp and I found that to be more pleasing. Any advice would be much appreciated...thanks in advance Randy
