  1. Hey, thanks for the posting! I called in a while ago and ordered the parts, talked to one of your experts and now have those great speakers back in full operation. Many, many kudos for your great service. These KP-250s have been in steady use as sound reinforcement for my Hammond B-3 Organ and a digital stage piano / synthesizer for years. They are amazingly accurate, efficient and rugged. I sure wish they were still in production.... Best regards, Wayne
  2. Bill, Thanks very much for the quick reply. I'll check with those contacts for parts. It looks like there are just four bolts to disassemble the drivers, so it should be easy with the right parts. Regards,
  3. I've been using a pair of KP-250A speakers for live music performances for the last few years. This is pretty hard use for speakers but these have done an amazing job of reproducing my stage piano and reinforcing my Hammond organ sound accurately at live performance volume levels. At my last job I noticed that one of the pair making some noise so I checked them out at home. Here is what I found. The midrange unit of one KP-250 was making the noise - a scratchy sound which occurs even at low volumes. Also, the tweeters on both speakers don't seem to be operating; I checked the coils of those drivers with an ohmmeter and both read open. The tweeter drivers' markings are barely legible, but appear to read K-79-K. I couldn't read the markings on the midrange driver. Only one of the speaker's serial number labels remains. It reads: 047498213. That speaker was inspected by D. Johnson. The two speakers look the same in all regards and I think they were produced at about the same time. I was very happy to find this active forum when looking online for information and joined immediately! I'd appreciate any advice from the knowledgeable folks on the forum to help put these workhorses back into normal operating condition. Thanks in advance for any advice or guidance on parts, repairs or other suggestions!
