What is the general rule for wire from your crossovers to the driver as far as the gauge?

This is the horn

Just finished the horn and tried it out I put a 8 ohm 10 watt resistor on to cool it down however it may need a 12 watt.The highs are smoother and cleaner but for the money the APT 50 is great the Selenium D2500Ti-Nd would be good for commercial use as the power handling is higher .

I ordered it from Parts Express and the info is limited on it but not sure what info you need I am hoping there is more info with the tweeter.I will use a L-pad with it . I am just experimenting with it .The titanium diaphram, small diameter so it will fit in the La scala and the power handling is high with SPL of 111 not 106 like the K-77's.

Thanks Don for that site I want to give this driver a try it has a titanium diaphram and the power handling is 120 W @1.5 kHz and 160 W @ 2. kHz freq. response is 1-22kHz spl of 111 dB.

I odered a few Selenium D2500Ti-Nd tweeters and was going to give them a try in my La scalas but the SPL is 111 I current have Eminence APT 50's that are 105 so would a 8 ohm 10 watt resistor do the trick?

How is your build coming?Any photos?

Sorry Arron I did not read your full post.I have 2 -1.5 Sonicaps with .47 Dayton film and foil bypass caps I can send you to try but no 13uf .[] I also have 2-kimber kaps 1.8 and 2 solen 2ufs forgot I had those.

You can buy 2 of the 2 ufs and a 1 of the 13 uf for around $34. plus shipping direct from Sonic Craft.

Robert I think the Tangent uses the same drivers as the Heresy II's maybe someone else can confirm this so this is why the heresy II crossovers were inside.[]

I would contact Bob Crites for new diaphrams I would also get his titanium diaphrams as they are a nice upgrade and only around $50. for the pair.He can also inform you if there is another problem with your tweeter.[]

They will be in my La scalas but they have the same finish as the new ones I just finished I will post photos soon. Thanks

It is cherry with bubinga wood trim and polyurethane finish.

Just put some Type A's together.Auricaps and Jantzen 12uf with Dayton .55 uf Film & Foil bypass cap.

Went with the PH -800 horn from Martin Sound it is smaller by a inch or so than the K-400 on the mouth .ALK said that with his Universal crossover the 400 hz crossover is so gradual because it is a first oder it does not matter the horns will crossover wherever they happen to naturally and there is so much overlap it is virtually impossible to say where the accoustic crossover actually is only in higher order networks can it be determined so I am going with his Universal crossover.I also added a wood strip on the point of the dog house without making any box volume changes.

This set I am going with the same but they are for someone else but I will be looking to build a pair of teak plys and will go with some other drivers however I would like them to fit in the cabinet without making it larger on the top so I guess I am limited .
