I was just wondering because when I set up my HT, I was like: hey if I cross over the lows to my sub... it doesnt really matter to have floorstanding speakers! but yeah there's probably a difference! I got a brand new pair of RF-82, RC-62 and RB-61 for my HT! I have a HSU VTF3-MK2 and i am really happy with my setup!

Does big RF speakers really make a difference when you have a sub? I was wondering since you usually cross over the low's, it would'nt be more optimal to buy the best bookshelf available and a very good sub instead of average RF? I'm pretty sure there's a reason why its better to get big RF but i just cant figure it out Thanks
