Ahhhhh! We were such a bunch of stoners then. I remember some poor guy brought his Audure' to the factory, on a Friday no-less and Becky and I were at the end of the assembly line (all beer up for happy hour and ready to go) and sat his blown DUD down in front of us. I check it and said the woofer is defective. "OK, Fix it!" Geezzz OK I ask Becky to gently sit on one end of the cabinet, out of the way of the woofer, and brought out the cone driver extraction tool. I then stabbed the tool (a 6' long 2 x 4 ) through the woofer into the cabinet wrenching out the woofer, part of the crossover, most of the poly insallation and half of the baffle board. I then instructed Becky to take the Audure' to the repair area and get a new 12" for his cab and install it. The guy was almost in tears when she returned. (With and brand new Audure' )
We used staples and chalky to mount the drivers so most of the time we would have to throw the away. (Dave's idea fast fast assembly). The customer didn't know that. Ahh Such fun back then. What would the Human Recourse think. Oh that's right there wasn't one then.
Sun Stereo did have the records in back!
