1 4.2 satellite has 35 watts. your v2-400 satellite has 65 watts.

It sounds like a good upgrade path to me.
But when you get the Yamaha reciever and the 15" sub, would you consider selling me your old v2-400's? Maybe? Please?

If you are using a card w/center channel, yes.

By using the headphone jack into the soundcard's line-in you add the soundcard's distortion. It's easy to overdrive the soundcard. It is harder to do that to the Klipch.
If you can't plug your headphones into your soundcard and get good volume, then you won't get good volume with the headphone jack on the 4.1.
If they make a 4ch Boostaroo the you can really drive the Klipch.

Does your A330 have a mini headphone jack?
Then use a cable with 1/8 miniplugs (like w/most comp speakers)
If your stereo has 1/4", then use a adapter.
You can use the 330's volume control to balance the level into the 4.1's new input.

Trim some of the copper strands to a manageable size, then tin the rest with a drop of solder so you don't have any stray wires to short. Use a VOM.

In an earlier post someone said that the five amps inside the pros looked identical, and suggested that the difference of impedance of sat and sub caused the difference in watts.
What would be the difference in impedance when you remove 1 sub driver? If the sub drives 2 cones at double the impedance??
And your soundcard may not be able to drive the pros to their limits.

Just plug a set of the mini jacks from the pros into the headphone jacks of your sys.
Is this one of those one piece units with no aux outs on back?

I hate to rub it in but your 2.1's only have a quarter of the power of the power of the V2-400's and 4.1's....
....when you crank the v2-400's things move off shelves, especilly with wall brackets.

For $250 I got the best amp/speakers/sound I could get. I sold my Altec Lansing ADA106 to get these.
If I wanted to spend $500 or $600 I go to egghead.com and get a Yamaha 500watt reciever with all the decoders, KLH speakers and a 10"sub.
I wanted these.

From the start mp3's have lost quality when you encode as mp3s. That loss never comes back.
EAX is the best loss-less extractor/ripper, that can save your music as .ape files at half the size of waves.
WinAmp plays and converts to mp3s (to load your Rio) or play back like wave files.
Nero Burning ROM's latest has .ape capabilities now.
Is your music worth a new 20gig? You may not always have access to the cds.

When you get winamp you can sign up for 3 gig of storage on winamp locker. Free, OK?

I'll bet Klipch is having no problem selling every set they get in. Words getting around.
You better get over to London's Drug and snag those V2-400's before someone finds them in stock.

Some of the software that comes for free are limited.
You may have to upgrade to Win-DVD or Power-DVD toget the surround and mixdown features.
Some of the limited software expects you to use a decoder card's s/pdif to you ht.

I'll be keeping these things forever.
I bought my V2-400 from vanns.com and shelled out $59 for the extended home speaker warranty, and I'm fully covered for 10 years,parts, labor, electronics, and I think they cover shipping.
The only changes I'll be making any time soon will be 8.2, Ya know what I mean?
I still find it hard to believe that anyone would put a 10 year warranty on 400 watt amp and speakers, but its in writing.

Maybe Fawwaz wazable to order direct from Klipsch is because there is no dealership in Lebanon to have their distrubition contracts violated.
From the sound of some of the prices Canadians are paying you can buy them from Fawwaz and pay shipping and not wait how many months?
