[Found a 2nd pair of heresys with different crossover]

I just found a 2nd pair of heresys at the flea market this morning. No serial numbers but they look like Heresy 1.

The crossovers are different from what I'm used to. The capacitors are little black boxes (not big metal cans like in my 1st pair of heresys).

Are these the original caps ? If they are, should I just replace them (even if they're not the metal models) ?

[Trends Audio Amplifier]

Anybody here has notice the Trends 10.1 has almost nothing over 10kHz ?

My friend and I tested our Trends with a SPL meter and the results were the same with both. Cymbals do not sound very natural...

I'm surprised nobody mentioned this.

Don't get me wrong, the Trends are very impressive little amps, but I beleive they do have flaws.

I have a Musical Fidelity A1 that I use once in a while. It is a better match with my heresys than with my cornwalls.

I mainly use the A1 during winter: it really warms the room
