Does it make a difference if the vents have the air directed to the floor versus directing up? Sub usage is not an issue. Outlaw LFM-1 EX sub is on it's way.

I have just purchased a pair of Heresy III to replace my Bose 901's. I am using these as fronts for my 5 channel set-up. My issue is the best location for my Heresy III's are in front of floor/wall heating unit registers. I'm looking for suggestions on spacing from wall and height for possible stands.
