  1. Thanks very much for the help. I will try it again tonight and see what results I get.
  2. Thanks for the input. I don't find that any other part of the high frequencies are distracting just the speech sibilants. I did some more listening with several sources and I believe it is mostly due to the recording I was listening to when I started to notice it. The Dave Matthews and Tim Reynolds Live at Radio City DVD was what I first noticed it on, but I now believe that may be due to the mic work on the live show. I notice it on movies and CDs but it's not nearly as prevalent and the fact that I'm hearing it at all on those sources may be due to the fact that my ears are now attuned to it. While on the subject of Audyssey, my Denon 4308 receiver is under a month old so I'm still getting used to the features. I ran the Audyssey auto setup but I've noticed that the Audyssey EQ settings show up under the auto setup menu but not under the EQ selection menu, so as far as I can tell I have not been able to properly implement it yet. Any suggestions on this?
  3. Yes I have rerun Audyssey. It doesn't seem to have made a difference. I've been doing a little online research and I'm wondering if the different compression driver is causing this and maybe I have to adjust to the higher resolution these speakers are producing.
  4. I;ve just swapped up from RF-82's to RF-63's and am noticing what I would consider excessive sibilance. I'm not sure if this is normal for this speaker or if it is even the speaker that is the culprit, but it seems since I changed them out I'm hearing quite a bit of emphasis on the sss sounds with vocals. I'm fairly new to home theater and audio and was wondering if anyone has any input on this subject. If it helps I am using a Denon 4308 to power them with Audioquest speaker cables. Any advice would be greatly appreciated.
  5. I have a Denon 4308 and love the processor and other features on it but am thinking of adding an outboard amp for better performance. I've been looking at the Parasound products and am wondering if I would be better off going with the Halo A52 or the New Classic 5250 ( Halo having balanced inputs for future use and higher grade components, the other more power ). Should I go with the more powerful amp or the Halo with more features? Any input would be greatly appreciated.
