  1. I know how to fix the DIN plug, but dont have the time. How would I go about getting it fixed by you?
  2. Hello. I bought my ProMedia 2.1's used and the guy had had them hooked up earlier on, so maybe he gave me different cables. Well actually he gave me minijack to minijack cables and said to split them on one end and hook it up. I did this and tested them on my dad's old Yamaha amplifier that uses speaker wire for speaker output. The speakers worked, so they are not the problem. I hooked up the whole system.(wire with green plug from control pod to computer, PS/2 looking cable (DIN cable I'm guessing) to Preamp input on subwoofer, my hacked cables(that work) from minijack on each satellite to the corresponding output on the back of the subwoofer, power to power outlet) There was no sound. I jiggled the preamp input cable and I got some sound ( so I'm guessing I have to replace that plug or the control pod) . Even though there is some sound, it is only from the left speaker, the sound from the right speaker comes through the subwoofer sounding muffled and only when the volume is higher. Nothing ever comes out of the right speaker. I switched the cables and whichever speaker is connected to the "L" speaker cable connections works and the ones that are connected to "R"don't work. I can't return the speakers, and don't want to, so how can I fix them? (I know how to fix the preamp input cable, but what about the left speaker problem?) EDIT: Oh, and I've tested them with my Creative X-fi and my Realtek Onboard sound. Same results.
