  1. Do you have a Canadian contact number by any chance? I called the 800 number you provided and was given a number to call in Canada (905-828-1622). However, it would seem that this is the number for a car dealership instead. My apologies for wasting your time if I recorded the number incorrectly.
  2. I've had my Pros for almost a year. Just recently, I've noticed that the front left speaker will cut out when I adjust the volume knob clockwise or counter-clockwise. If I fiddle with it a bit (press the knob in, or jiggle it lightly) the sound will come back. I'm worried that this problem will continue to get worse and eventually I won't have any sound coming out of that speaker. How can I fix this problem? P.S.: I'm only under warranty for another 8 days, so a prompt response would be appreciated.
  3. I'm just wondering if Klipsch has some sort of prepaid cross-shipping setup or if the customer is stuck with paying for shipping when returning a set of 400s under warranty?
  4. Swerv, my volume level has been set at 50% in my SB Live control pannel since I got my speakers. The crackling has only started recently. I don't think it has anything to do with the volume level being too high.
  5. I'm having the same crackling problem as you. I mostly notice when there's a lot of bass present in videogames, but it's been cropping up everywhere. I've only had mine for about 9 months and this is really troubling me. I can live with the static sound when you turn the knob, but this is too much to tolerate from $250 speakers =[
  6. Thanks a lot for the info. Just one question though... Why do you need the stereo cable taped to your desk? Can't you just leave the speakers and the headphones plugged in at all times?
  7. I would like to hook up a pair of headphones to my system, but I don't want to have to keep unplugging my klipschs in order to do so. Would it be possible to hook up a y-splitter to my SB Live Value in order to accomplish this task? I'm heading to radio shack today to look for the y-splitter. Please let me know if there's any particular type or model of y-splitter that I should look for or stay away from. I would also greatly appreciate it if someone could explain how best to hook it up. Thanks in advance to those who can render assistance.
  8. Thanks for the suggestion, Amy. I left it unplugged for a couple of hours and it worked when I plugged it back in. Is this a common issue with the sub or is it a warning sign? I'm worried that it might be an indication that my sub will fail completely in the future.
  9. There is absolutely no bass coming out of my sub-woofer. I cranked the bass up to 100% in the creative mixer control pannel, turned the subwoofer knob all the way to 5 oclock, loaded up a bass heavy song, and nothing. The only bass seems to be coming from the sats and it sounds lifeless compared to the sub. I checked all my connections, and they all seem to be in order. I have also reinstalled my sound card drives (SB Live Value). The sub has worked perfectly since I bought the Pros back in September, but now it seems to be completely dead. Does anyone know if there's any way I can test to see if the sub truly is dead? And if it is dead, where do I proceed from here?
  10. I've seen the F500, and trust me, the finer dot-pitch is well worth the extra money if you can afford it.
  11. Why didn't Klipsch provide the ablility to turn off the signal output to the sats and sub before the cp-1 release? It just seems to me like a bad idea for the speakers to have a signal running to them 24/7.
  12. Considering how you all seem to be audiophiles, I can't believe that not one person has been able to reccomend a song that has lot of midrange in it...
  13. Does the Phillips AE support EAX2.0 in hardware?
