  1. You guys Rock! Groomlakearea51 & Michael Super info.
  2. First you need to know what Klipsch uses for paint???? So you can strip the right way. I'd like to know what to paint my 85' LaScalla's with that would be a stock paint.
  3. Thanks, Trey and all, By the schematic it's looks like a 4th order, I guess that I need to get my Sci-calcuator out to get the spec's I want. Interesting the voltage limit network... two Zeners... I'll check those to.
  4. Hmmm.... different cross over points may be an option in the future, but for this weekend I just want to test the exsisting Xover point against the stock spec's. I bought these speakers asis for $75 each and don't want the fry new diaphrams the first time I crank them. Somebody know the spec I'm looking for? Thanks....
  5. I will be using the stock Xover, only repairing the speakers and wanted to test the crossover with a scope and signal generator. Is 6k and 12db/octQuote what I have?
  6. Putting new Diaphrams in my K-77 that were fried in my 85' LaScallas. So if someone know the cross over point and slope; please post.
  7. "I have a very nice Hitachi SR-2004 receiver that some of the lettering has come off. It was probably due to the previous owner using an abrasive cleaner. Has anyone here tried to re-letter a faceplate? What would be the best way to do so, or is there somewhere I can send it off to? Thanks for any advice. Keith " Re-letter, no way it will look worse than missing... if it was a Mac I would silkscreen but in this case I would scrubbing no text may look better.[H]
  8. So what do you think of letting a receiver set-up room on you klipsch?
  9. I'll try to post some pic's this week-end. They look good, Not sure if the Caps are dried out, but it may be worth testing the X-overs with a Sig gen, dummy load, and scope.
  10. wsu99999 " How much are you paying for these?" Paid $75 Each[][][][][][][][][][][][][][] Talk down from $100 each![8-|] Guess I should hook them up and make sure they work, I don't want to get ripped off[^o)]
  11. Thanks for the info wsu99999. If I want the natural blonde (yellow) burch look, do I use a tung oil, or stain to make them like new?
  12. We I ran accross of 85' LaScalas for a price I could not refuse. But the guy that had stained only on of them. So what to do I lile the blond birch but I'd have to strip both. Hmm... anyone sanded some to raw finish, or chemiclly stripped. Or would it be best to have them painted black, and what black matched the Laquer black that Kilpsch uses? Want to do it right!
