Thanks for the reply Dave. The listening area of the room is roughly about 15' x 20'; however, it is a great room that opens up to the kitchen area. The ceilings in the room are vaulted, about 16 feet high. It is a very open area with narrow walls (almost column like). The room has a built-in drywall entertainment center with a fireplace right underneath the TV. The only center speaker that fits this configuration is an in-wall on the drywall fireplace mantle. I am hoping for 50/50 music/movies. I am a newbie at this, so I have no clue how low a subwoofer should go. I think it would be mainly used for movies. Let me know if this is enough info.
