  1. I actually work at Best Buy I had tested this with our old F3s, and now our VFs. We're not a magnolia so I don't have all the extra goodies to play with.
  2. -40 is low comfortable for news etc. Usually around -30/mid-low 20s when watching a good action flick.
  3. [H] Just how I am when it comes to the internet. I game quite a bit so i'm used to getting flamed quite a bit when asking questions. So running significantly under the speakers RMS doesn't damage the speaker at all? That was an argument one of our stores HT installers put up
  4. Well that solves that fight. Much appreciated guys, thanks for making me feel welcome, haha always get apprehensive asking questions thanks a lot. I do see how the reciever maxes out before the speakers, though. I end up turning up the reciever around half and over half way sometimes watching movies and such. I was looking at a few recievers at work and some I could order with higher power ratings so I wouldnt tax the unit as much. All is well, i'm happy for now
  5. I was told no so I worried. I was looking at the wattage per channel being 50w and saw the RF82s and RC52 at 150w and 125w RMS and didn't know if this would hurt the speakers over time.
  6. My current setup is RF82 floors, RC52 center, RW12D sub, and S2 surrounds. I currently have a AVR247 Harmon Kardon reciever. I was wondering if this reciever is sufficient to power these speakers, i've been told yes and no so I figured I would come to people who know and care. Thanks in advance
  7. My setup is two RF-82's, RC52 center, S2 surrounds and a RW-12D sub. From what I gather my house had a power fluxuation since the board on my 12D fried. I got the board replaced, but only to find the sub not nearly as powerful. Previous setting on the LCD was -10/-8, currently I had to turn the sub up on the reciever (AVR247) to +5, and +5 on the LCD readout on the sub. It seems the system overall has lost some power. I'm guessing the reciever may have been damaged in the fluxuation? Before I listened comfortably around -40/-35, now i'm listening around -25/-20. At first I thought the speaker might have been damaged from the fluxuation, but through two boards i'm leaning to the reciever. Any thoughts? Thanks in advance
