  1. i know i keep flip-flopping back and forth on what i want...i found an older pioneer receiver i really liked...its the pioneer elite vsx-82txs receiver...its a little older and only supports hdmi 1.2 but it has some excellent reviews...has anyone ever had any experience with this receiber? and another question will my 1.3 devices play through this receiver just fine?
  2. in onkyo i can get a 805 for 450 or get a 806 for 540....which one do you all think is a better deal?
  3. aside from pioneer i found an onkyo tx-sr 808 refurbished for 449.99...i may just go ahead and order that one...best price i have seen on a 805
  4. i have been heavily looking into the pioneer receivers...refurbished would be fine i just want something that is going to last me a long time
  5. i am running blu-ray....i am looking to spend no more than 650
  6. so i sold my onkyo 606 to my friend i am looking for a pretty good receiver...the room is 2300 cubic ft, is dolby true hd and dts mas really that important? i had it on the 606 and i didnt tell much of a difference in true hd and standard dolby digital...if its not worth it i can get a better deal on a good receiver just used for audio

  9. i have been reading a lot of posts about adding amps to their theater systems. Does it make a big difference in sound quality. I am not really worried about power but if it improves sound quality i am all for it I am njew to the whole amp scene. Do you all think it makes a difference?
  10. i have noticed some of the newer bluray players having 7.1 analog outputs...what exactly is that?

  12. yea my receiver specifically says it can be accomplished...i just have to go into the settings and tell it that my front are bi-amped

  17. is it really important to match the front 2 and center? i listened to some polk monitor 60's today and i thought they had a very well balanced sound...would these bllend well with my klipsch center or i should i stay with klipsch? i know this is a klipsch forum but i did like the polks
  18. so tonight at work i had some free time so i hooked up the b-3, f-1, f-2, and f-3 to see which onwes i liked the best....and i didnt notice much difference in the b-3 or the f-1....i think i am going to choose one of the two for space constraints

  20. are there any bookshelf speakers that would fit in my system if i do not go with floorstanding?
