Is this the only conection needed between the sub and receiver? Because if so, I made it a lot harder than it had to be...

I am having difficulties connecting my subwoofer (Klipsch SUB-10) to the receiver (Yamaha RX-V463BL). I just recently found out that I needed a subwoofer cable to connect the two. I'm still a little weary on how exactly to do this as I don't know much about the setup and the manual isn't geared towards beginners. Any help would be greatly appreciated, and thanks in advance.
