  1. i can't belive you would hate this bad on a line array. one of the most respected men in hifi that has done countless reviews gives this speaker hi marks. one of the best systems i ever heard in my life was a line array... a diy budget one at that. as long as your not standing right in fromt of the speaker, atleast 10' away, your straight. this speaker can play down to 20hz. that's some serious bass!!! please explain why sooo many people are fully satisfied with this speaker if it sux sooo bad. the designer for this system is highly respected. i listened to this speaker myself.... the dynamics, top end, imaging, and bass is some of the best i ever heard in my life. it's all about what sounds good to me, right? thanx for the support
  2. alright fellas i've made a decision on what towers i'm gonna get. done some serious research, and listened to alot of speakers. my choice is.... AV123 L6 LINE ARRAY!!! THANX FOR ALL THE HELP!!!!
  3. i would love to go with the rf-7's but i can't find any. went to one site but they sold out. the sales rep was like.... "huh, we sold out of the rf-7's, but we got the rf-83's.... their alot better than the rf-7's.... wanna get those instead?" of course, i said hell no. how money do i have? i got around $5000 for the totall system. i need to find a good preamp.... already have the emotiva mono blocks.
  4. I agree with Jay. You will be happy with RF-7's but you'll be happier implementing a sub........especially since you listen to agressive music. My listening room consists of four RF-7's and three subs. After a heavy listening session.......I'm never left wanting more. Impressive. i got a couple of people highly recommending a lascala ll paired up with a Danley DT20. i imagine this would be a very exspesive system. i've been informed that nothing on this earth can match this set-up
  5. dean? you got a pm i think i'm gonna go with the RF-7's. problem now is over spent xmas budget and product location. since the rf-7's are discontinued where am i gonna find some new ones. i might go for used if their in excellent condition. i don't trust buying used because i know how bad i abuse my drivers
  6. Agreed. Having had Cornwalls and RF-7s with Dean's mod, the former will cause you to wince with metal. Also, the Corns' bass becomes flabby with certain of the hard stuff. My vote is for modded RF-7s. Carl. where can you get dean's crossovers for the RF-7's?
  7. thanx.... your sooo nice. keep up the good work
  8. modified RF-7's? better crossover, different drivers? please explain
  9. alot of cornwall's? just put one in all four corners of the listening room? that would be insane!!!! how much power can you throw at the cornwall's?
  10. ahhh helll... i havent heard jungle rot in a long time. seen them a couple of times. simple riffs but heavy as hell !!!!
  11. I agree - the Jub and RF-83 and especially Khorn/lascala aren't gonna touch the Cornwall III when it comes to straight up hard thumping 2-Channel Metal. The only other speaker I'd recommend is the P39f, but thems a bit pricey. RF-83 would be a close 3rd, but the Cornwall is going to project a way larger sound with much cleaner mids. What specific metal will you be listening too? i listen to old metalica, slayer, all death metal, black metal. and some idustrial
  12. stacking cornwall's sound a little extreme. i don't think it would work. the midrange and highs would over power the 15"s
  13. those jubilee's are massive. wouldn't you have to build your cab to do this project?
