Am hoping some of you folks out there can make this decision really much easier than it appears. Just located and purchased a 6 month old pair of La Scala IIs in cherry veneer (I have the invoice to prove it). And having read (somewhat) several posts regarding the best tube amp on this forum, along with listening to my older brother's La Scala's with his Jolida amp, I'm really in the "hunt" for my own tube series amp... Not having any local dealerships for these types of audio eguipment here in Alaska makes listening to any varieties totally impossible. What is the consensus for a really nice (am pretty sure I want to go new for several reasons) amp/preamp unit that will really bring out the best in these beautiful speakers I have sitting in my living room? If asked what my price range is, I'd hope to keep the price under $1000 if possible... Also, the room I have these in is about 35 feet long with a peaked ceiling. Also, room has both wood floors as well as wood ceiling. Do I automatically need to be looking for an amp to help improve the sound?? Will give thanks in advance for any comments or suggestions you folks have to offer..Pat
