  1. yea when I walked into our local high end store which sells Klipsch, B&W McIntosch, Denon, Marantz etc. I was asking the salesman questions about the tweeter size in Rf line of Klipsch Speakers and he was spoutn all sorts of BS numbers, He was clueles. At least when I Sold GMC Trucks, Cadilacs, Saabs, and Pontiacs at a Dealership for some time and if a customer came in and needed to know the differential of a truck and ya didn't know it it would easily cost you a sale. Needless to say I new every, and I mean every car on that lot, as I walked it every morning to see what if any thinew had arrived plus constant training and research. How is it that these people can not at least know what is available on a spec sheet on a web site, after all this is their occupation. When droppin this kind of cash most of us want to make an informed and confident purchase.
  2. Well I got the Towers (RF-82) in today and my wife about freaked out about how big they are but I hooked'em up and played some CLASSICAL for a little bit and I gotta say I dont regret the purchse one bit tighter, base more defined mids and highs and incredible and life like Dynamic Range and Soundstage. I can not wait till the Center RC 62 and RS 52 get here which are on Order and thes store doesn't even have'em yet. Ohh. . . the agony. Also, due to the size and wieght of the new center speaker my floating shelf that currently supports my Polk CS 1 is not deep enough nor does it support enough wieght. Therefore I have to either buy or make a new entertainment center, fortunately I have 2 4x8's of Oak plywood in my wood shop. Hopefully I can get it built before they get here.
  3. After auditioning the newest Icon WF-35, Def-Tech BP7004BLA at Best Buy in a closed room hooked up to a Denon 3809ci ( I have the 3808) I really at first liked the Def-Tech but I had the Sales man switch to the Klipsch and it was really amazing how much more clear and articulate the mid and namely the highs were. Secondly, my ears felt as if I had left a high altitude perhaps due to the builtin subs on the Def-Techs. Finally, I went to a local store and listened to the RF-82, RC- 62, RS-62and RSW-10d and was definately. Floored this setup was also powered by a 3808. Due to the sales man for one trying to up sale me on the center but mainly the rear satelites as opposed to getting the RS-52 which is the speaker pckg for the RF-82 on Klipsch.com I decided to look at online stores through Klipsch.com online store locator and I got a great deal on the whole set minus the Sub,as I have an Old Polk Sub, plus free shipping and no sales tax plus a great deal from Onecall.com. Any how the 82's will here just one day before my birthday and the other speakers are on order. They will be replacing a meek set of M-50 Polks 5.1 setup. I am sure that once I get the whole setup I will be wanting a new sub as I think my current Psw 125 only hits as low as 30Hz but that wont happen until my wallet recovers from this hit.
