Is this the most common failure point on these systems for problems like this? Also, strangely enough the sub is kind of working today at low volume if I completely max out the "subwoofer" dial on the control pod. Would this indicate anything?

The subwoofer in my 2.1s just stopped working today. The satellites are working fine. I checked the fuse and it is OK as well. I took a peek inside the sub and didnt see anything fried or damaged. Is there anything obvious I can check or does anyone repair these any more? Have had these speakers for years and years and would hate to give them up. Thanks!
