  1. Thanks to everyone for their help and advice. I can't wait for everything to get delivered.
  2. Last night I offered $2000 for the set and this morning they sent a counter-offer of $2125. So I'm going to head out the store and see how much more it would cost to throw in a pair of rs62s.
  3. I really wish I had a mom and pop store by me. I live in queens,ny and i checked the klipsch locator and the only stores within 30 miles that come up are all b&m stores. The 6 ave store that I got the quote from is actually about 5 miles away. I would definitely buy from a mom and pop store even if I would have to drive further away or even from the internet if they had a good reputation with the people on the forum. I was very satisfied with my purchase of my pioneer last year from a mom and pop store from upstate n.y. Those types of stores definitely make you feel like family and I love that. So if anyone has any suggestions of a place I would definitely listen.
  4. It says curbside delivery is free. They are a approved dealer so how much lower can I go ?
  5. I offered 6 ave electronics $2600 for a pair of rf83s and a rf64 center. It's a sale they have called "name your price" so I was just testing the waters. They have sent me back a reply saying they have accepted the offer. So of course now I'm wondering if that is a good price or could I have went lower. This will be my front setup for a couple of years so I'm really don't know what to do. Please help with your opinions.
  6. Thanks very much Mike. That was a very good explanation of what I was looking for.I'm going to have to save this for myself and my friends. You should write one of those books like"Crossover For Dummies". LOL. And yes I definitely like to Rock The House. Also I've seen some B3 and S1 surround speakers at good prices at CC.Would any of these be a significant upgrade from the quintet 3?
  7. That is so true.I went to a friends house and he left all his equipment set at the factory's settings and loved it.
  8. Thanks for your answer.I guess I can experiment later. So I guess there is not a universal setting for speakers.
  9. I'm trying to learn about crossover settings.I search around different forums and this seems like the perfect place to ask.I recently added f3 for fronts,c2 at center and used my quintet III for surrounds.I was going to get a rf-83 home theater package but I decided to wait until I build my man cave next year.Anyway I first ran the audessy audio set-up on my onkyo 806 and it set the f3s at full band,c2 at 50,the quintet III surrounds at 120 and my sub-10 at 80.I know the f3s should not be set at full band,so should I set them to 60 or 80?I tried reading the specs on them but I don't know what 35Hz-23kHz means.I know I read in many places to set the crossover +10 above specs but which number, the 35Hz or 23kHz?Sorry for the newbie question.
