OK...thanks! I did some further research....looks like to get true surround with these headphones I will have to plug them directly into the sound card.

I have never even considered surround headphones until now...I assume you get front-rear effect with them...I just do not know if they would just plug in to the regular headphone jack, or you have to do something different.
