  1. They say it will cost $75. Can't afford it, back to using the iMac's internal speakers.
  2. Yea, I wasn't mad though word choice made it seem that way. I'm just used to bigger, less specific forums that move much faster, so I sort of figured a less diluted forum would move much more quickly. Would you say it's a definite this will cost me money? I bought the speakers with cash so I can't get a 2nd copy of my receipt from Best Buy and can't find my original. Only 8 months too....
  3. Really? It takes more than a day to answer this question?
  4. Ok, so I feel really dumb. I've thought something was a little off with the sound of my speakers for a while now, and according to my 13 year old sister the right speaker has actually been silent for about a month. Somehow, I have never felt like checking this out through hours of music listening and gameplay - I honestly wonder how I didn't notice, sound-wise anyway. The way I found out was this morning, when everything sounded a little different than it had last night. When I looked behind the right speaker, I noticed its plug wasn't even plugged in! I have no idea how long ago that was, but my only answer is that one of my mom's incredibly annoying cats got onto the desk and jumped off onto the wire at some point, yanking it out. I also noticed at this time that if I fiddled with the jack on the left channel at ALL, the music would be come noticeably muddy and absent. So, I disconnect everything, shoot air all over the control board, hook everything up carefully. Sound is crystal clear; right channel still has no sound. I switch the jacks around and now the left channel has no sound, the right channel is crystal clear. For my final self-help test, I plug in my Klipsch Image X10s. Suddenly, BOOM, both channels piping goodness to my tubes through the headphones. But as soon as I take them out, it's back to left channel only (or right channel only if I flip the jacks). So, good sirs and ma'ams, Is this a speaker wire problem or a problem with the ports for the right channel on the subwoofer? And why would both channels work through headphones but not speakers? Is it simply faking two channels to make up the difference?
