  1. TONS of good advice. I think i need to go listen to all the speakers i have in mind. I have also thought of going the RF7's up front and getting the matching RC7 center, but i have not heard these speakers. Maybe i should just listen to Bill if it aint broke dont fix it []
  2. That is very sound advice. I guess i just dont know what to do. I am looking for more presance in the front i guess for lack of a better term. I am just not sure how to get there. I have also been looking at a SW 15 guy wants 400 for it i am not sure if it is worth that? thanks again Bill.
  3. I have been looking at some RF3's to use as fronts and move my RF62's to the rear. This is in a 5.1 setup. the rest of my system is in profile if it needs to be viewed. Thanks again for the advice []
  4. WOW!!! How sweet is it to wake up and have some awsome advice! Peshewah yes we have spoke[] and you are spot on they are running out. Dont get me wrong they rock most people think i am crazy for wanting to upgrade but, i know you guys understand. I am happy to hear that you guys recomond the RF5s and RF7s thats kinda what i was thinking. Now just to find them when i have all the money lol. Jrod, do you have any ideas what i can put on the walls or floor. Wife will pretty much let me do anything as long as i dont build walls. Also, i use this for mostly music, sorry i had forgot to include that. It would be a 70% music 30% movie, we watch our shows down here and movies but mostly just rock out. Lots of rockband/guitarhero Thanks again guys!
  5. Hello all i am looking for your advise again. i have had many questions answered here, some by my posts and many other by reading everyone elses. I am looking to get new front speakers. I currently have RF62 for the fronts a RC62 center and a RW10d with a AVR254 witch sounds pretty good for its rating. I am looking to get emotiva XPA 5 down the road, also a UMC 1 WAY down the road.(Money is a hard thing now that we bought a house) What i was wanting to do is try to use the RF62s for my surround(5.1) So what i am wondering is what would be a good matching front? I am wanting to go with a larger speaker, and i am thinking something in the reference line would be best. I am not sure if this is even a good idea using the RF62s for surround. I do not have any problems buying used. The room that i am using is large. Sorry i dont have a camera to post any pics, but it is my basement witch i have this set up in a corner i can use all the area i want. The biggest issue is the wife will not let me build walls, we like to have parties down here so she likes it open. The basement is not finished just concrete walls. Any ideas will be really helpful, thanks everyone Dave
  6. Well after listening to what USNRET said (thanks by the way) i called oppo tech support. The guy i talked to said they consider 60 inch + to big, he went on to say that with a large display any inperfections would be more noticeable. I understand what he is saying but what i dont understand is why no other blu-ray player has the restiction? The only thing i could think of is that he is reffering to the upscale, i dont know. Just thought i would share if anyone has more input that would be great.
  7. Thanks for the response, thats kinda what i thought i was gonna hear. It will be hard to get the wife to agree to this one. LOL But i will do my best.
  8. I have been looking at this unit, it seems like a great deal. I do not have much backround on blu-ray or the SACD format that it will also do. So i was wondering if anyone out there had any input, i am kinda concerned about the size of my TV MITS 65 HD DLP as they say on website it is Not Recommended for larger TVs. I have my system in my profile i am "thinking" this will work just fine with the reciever i have. Again guys thanks for listening to my questions, everyone has always been a great help.
  9. Thanks guys. I tried this works great!!! still have a little his but only during certin songs mostly older ones. The hiss is gone on newer ones i guess better recordings. Also the audio lag during shows/movies is gone. Thanks again
  10. Thanks for you help guys, once again it is appreciated. Sorrry about the long sentence i usualy dont think to much about puctuation when i am writing on here. [] I will be sure to give this a try and let you know.
