I give up.... I am not an expert by any means about home theater installation although I would say I'm above average. Here's my situation: I am trying to hook up my 5.1 THX Ultra II system to a Yamaha RX-V1800, a Verizon HD DVR, a Panasonic 1080p TV and a Panasonic Blue Ray player. I have HDMI cables and NO REMOTE FOR THE RECEIVER! I am able to get sound through the use of component cable however my HDMI connections are yielding nothing. No sound, no picture. I wish someone had an easy diagram or step-by-step hookup process for me. I am guessing that the setting on the receiver are off and I'm not sure I can change them without the use of the remote. Anybody know if this is possible or what the problem may be? Thank you, Dave

I have the entire THX Ultra2 system. With these tough times I need to find a receiver that'll do the system justice without breaking me. Any recommendations? The more HDMI inputs/outputs, the better.
