  1. I blew my fuses on the woofer section of my Kornerhorn speaker last year. I had kept the fuse and recently put it back in and it still works. Are these fuses reusable?
  2. I have last years Onkyo model 777. If yours works basically the same, when you select the sub in on the configuration menu your other speakers will be crossed at 80 hz. (large) or 100 hz. (small). Even in the large position I feel it takes to much away from the mains. Is your lack of bass problem in all modes? When you listen to music in stereo mode with the sub configured off,is there enough bass? I have similar complaints here. I think that Onkyo should of put a loudness switch on these receivers for low level listening or a way to use the sub plus mains in non cut off mode. Another item to check is the LFE level in the menu on Dolby Digital, DTS source items. On DD the setting should be 0 db, on dts it should be +10, if your model is similar. When I purchased my Onkyo, I was under the impression that DD receivers were putting full frequency response to all speakers in the room and therefore would need full range speakers around the room. It seems that this format is set up primarilly for satellite type speakers. Does your receiver have front channel out -in jacks? If so Onkyo says you can hook an EQ. in the loop there to improve front channel response. Ron
  3. I am a new owner of Klipschorns which I am using as mains for my home theater. I have been told that my room is bad acoustically because it is square. The room is 24'x24' with a ceiling sloping from 8' to 12' in the center. The room opens to the kitchen on one side. Every speaker I've owned seems to lack bass when played in this room compared to any other room in this house. Is it true that a square room like mine is bad, if so why and what if anything could be done to help improve it? Do these speakers have to go flush against the wall in the corners or can they be out a few inches and angled to a sweet spot 18' from the front wall where my couch is located? I have allready noticed that these 2 speakers out perform the 4 speakers doublestacked that I previously was using.(15" 3 way 102db sensitivity 90 lb. powerhouses) So I am very impressed with these and want them to be all they can be. Any advice or tweeks would be appreciated. Ron
