Please, does anyone have a suggestion? I know there are some of you out there that have the same set up as I do. Could you plug an mp3 player or cd player into your "aux" port on your volume control and tell me if you get sound out of all your speakers, or just your right and left?

Hi guys, I tried plugging my mp3 player into the "aux" port on my volume control box and only got sound out of my front left and right speakers. Is this how it was designed to work, or is there something I'm missing? Also, I am going to be using my 5.1's for a wedding reception and am curious if anyone knows a cheap easy way to combine the three cords down to one jack to plug into a laptop. Thanks!
