So based on Parasounds link for their bass management, what would you set the sub to? Mains, center, surrounds are safe below 40hz. I also have Reinforced bass set on. Here is the link... http://www.parasound.com/service_information/owners_manuals/pdfs/avc25bassaddendum6_9.pdf What do you think?

Hey guys. I have a Parasound AVC2500 Pre/Pro, that I have my SW12II hooked up to. This sub does not have the ability to turn off the crossover. Now I just sent my Parasound in to have the Bass Management/xover upgrade performed. I can select 1khz/80hz, 1khz/40hz, 40hz/40hz, or 80hz/80hz as my crossover points. Parasound says that I should choose one of the first two to use the xover in my sub...this will cut out double filtration. Would I be better off buying another sub that I can defeat the internal xover so that I can just use my preamp's. I would appreciate your help. Thanks

Oh I can't agree with you more!! I have a SW12II and I will use it until it blows up! The SWII series seem to be MUCH better than the new stuff out there IMHO....anyone else?

One other question fellas...ever since I purchased this sub, I have had a cheater plug on it. This is done to eliminate unwanted hum. Is this ok to do, or am I way wrong in doing this? Thanks for your replies.

Oh talktoKeith if only I could...I would. I just love her sooooo much!!! I really appreciate your help guys. She seems to sound a titch better at 0 Phase. Got the low pass set to 80 and that seems about right. Just out of curiosity, what do you guys run your low pass at? Speakers are all set to Small/THX as well.

PS...Does it hurt to leave it on all the time setting idle? Or would I be better to turn it off after use?

not as well built in my opinion. Where should the phase be set on this sub? It doesn't seem to make any difference? I run a Parasound Pre/Pro AVC2500 with speaker settings on Small/THX. What Low Pass frequency should I set the sub at? Thanks guys. Wish I could find reason to upgrade that SW12 II...but alas, I cannot!!
