For me I have 3 Top Bass Parts from various movies that literally "shook the room"..
Ranked from most the Most and longest amount of Room shakeing BASS :
#1) Matrix : During the opening scene where trinity is in a "jam" she punches a cop in the face then does a "floaty kick" in the air. As she is jumping up, That for me is the Most Intense Bass i have ever heard to come out of my speakers. (80% volume with LFE and Windvd 2.3 with DVD genie 5.1 down-m to 4.1)
#2)Titan AE: During the Ice Crystal scene where two Giant ice crystal collide and form a cave of ice around the little ship. That was really exagurated. "With spectra plus running along side there were peaks in the 25-45Hz Range)
#3)Titan AE: During the Initial Explosion of the Earth, when the one of the chunks hits the moon and slices it in half. Gotta love that... hehe
Whats everyone elses opinion for their favorite "BASS" scene
also runner up for 3rd place was Martrix: when the helicopter explodes into the building. ( At loud volumes only )
-
DOH, never seen that. sorry! was it before the 80's?
-
Apollo 13? if it is, i haven't seen it but i hear there is lots of bass during takeoff.

quote:how could removing the grills damage the subs? a grill is a grill. just take it off. doesn't require a whole lot of thinking.
Do you own these speakers? I'm gonna guess no.
-
I read somewhere that you can take the grills off of the subwoofer... Is this possible without causing any damage to the precious sub!? I doubt it is possible , but if anyone knows how i would greatly appreciate them sharing on how it can be done.
thanks.

i could care less about sound and vision, for the only way to buy a speaker is to audition it first.
quote:Paradigm always makes speakers that sound like they are worth twice as much for what you paid for.
Same with anything that klipsch has made so far. and yes the horn loaded tweeter is an aquired taste, but ive had many friends who did not likeit at first and it grew on them after a while andd they could not stand anything else.
klipsch promedias are designed to give people the best bag for your buck, even compete with systems that cost twice as much also, so i dont see your point.
so far they are the best computer speakers to come out in my opinion, far better than Altecs/cambridges/bostons flagship models better than the 340 watt rms monsoons, better than the highly acclaimed "videologic sirrico crossfires" they were overhyped for sure.
also i never said that the promedias were meant to compete with your cinema paradigms, all i said was that they look very similar, same driver size. etc..
please give some more comparisons, price / pros / cons. etc..

i know i know, i was just kidding f00..
but seriously i could care less about the paradigms right "now". in the near future i might get some paradigm titans and a second hand Rotel amp if i can get one. FRom everything ive read they sound like good little speakers
-
i dont see how the paradigms in that link can be any better than the ones that come with the promedia, It looks like the Exact same design and driver size... similar power output aswell. I could understand if they had a 4.5" or something but it looks like the exact same thing...
FOR BASS, i want 8 of these...
