  1. Just got a reply from Yellow: "Thanks for the enquiry, Promedia 4.1 will be available sometime in March. Sorry, prices for this and the rear stands are not yet released The 2.1 version is available now @ £199" Pretty steep compared to US prices, eh?? Also, Soundcity.com will charge $150 for shipping ALONE, so that's not really an option...
  2. no probs nemesis. will do as soon as i know. either way, shouldn't be too long before the UK crew can have some promedia luvin!!
  3. i've never had any problem with buy.com, neither have my mates and their prices are good too. it's not a matter of "being patient", Amy asked me for supplier ideas, so I gave her some. Read the previous posts before you have a go.
  4. nice one Amy! As far as I know buy.com has been bought by the John-Lewis Partnership (which is one of the best retail store chains in the UK), so going with them would be good if you are looking for excellent service. Dabs are big, but are only internet-based. Ive never had any trouble with them either. I'll let you know what Yellow say as soon as they reply.
  5. Will do Amy! Well, hopefully I won't need a transformer now!!! One thing though, why choose Yellow? Surely someone bigger like Dabs or Buy.com would have been better?? Anyway, I just want my bad-arse thx spkrs so that i can see how well built my house really is!!
  6. I just got an email from the "much revered" Amy informing me that Yellow UK Ltd - http://www.yellouk.com - will be stocking the Klipsch 4.1's rated at 230V!!! I've emailed them asking for prices and s&h and i'll post here when I know. *sigh* Finally!!! P.S. Thx Amy!!
  7. OK, ok, so thanx Amy - The first US female president... I'll have to reorganise my electric wiring to accomodate all that current now... btw, anyone checked out the Altec Lansing ADA890's?? They're THX-cert. as well.
  8. I've just email Soundcity.com and they say that they WILL ship to the UK. (Although he did say it'd be "expensive", but didn't say how much - I've emailed him back to see ) I'll post here when I know. Also - are you sure I need a step-down transformer that supplies 500W?? Thats a hell of a lot for speakers!!!
  9. nice one paragon. well, that's half of the setup sorted, now if i can just get a set of 240V 4.1's...
  10. hmm.. well i *might* be able to find 'em somewhere - but you might have given me an idea where!!! and anyway, i need to get the bleedin speakers first!
  11. Yeh, I'd like to know that as well!! See my post about 15 down from your original one? Well, no answer yet.. Also, even if we could get a set in the UK, what about the stands/brackets for the rear speakers? Anyone who knows anything - email me please!!! **I can't wait to get rid of these crappy Yamaha's...**
  12. Does anyone here know how I might get hold of a set of the 4.1's in the UK?? Also, do they have internal switching from 110V to 240V, or what?! Thanks!!
