Thanks for the info. Does this mean that even the two threaded inserts can't support the weight of the speakers when mounted from the ceiling? If so I imagine my best bet would be getting floor stands.

I recently purchased a setup that includes the RS 42 surround speakers but I don't have a rear wall and only have one side wall I could mount the speakers to . I purchased a set of omnimount 20 mounts to mount the RS 42's to the ceiling. Does anyone have any experience with having the RS 42's mounted to the ceiling? Any issues or concerns with having these speaker mounted to the ceiling? I know that mounting the surrounds on the ceiling is ideal but the house was pre-wired with the surrounds wires in the ceiling and ceiling mounting seems to be my best option for the room I have. Thanks in advance for the input.
