I have four RB-75's and a RC-7, with a Bryston 4B-ST 250 watt amp for the mains. With the Bryston ST series there are the options of adding another two 4B's at 250 watts or a 8B bridged with 400 watts into one channel and 120 watts into two channels. Yes I would like to put more watts into the mains but the 8B would be more cost effective.

Sorry, I didn't see it. Is there any difference in sound quality if I put 250 watts into the mains and 400 watts into the center? Opposed to using the same wattage into all three speakers.

Should the wattage from from your amp(s) to your mains and center match in a 5.1 system?
