Active Multiamp with a custom 6 channels???? 3)Something with 18" or 21" subwoofer??? But I really work very slow because I'm very busy :-(
  3. Thanks Dave|!!! The tube Beringher is very cool!!! How much for the overall mod???
  4. The felt (black paintend) is on the grilles. I've got the flush mount. Next step: fabric!!!!!
  5. Cheking connections...with Steve Ray Vaughan and without back panels......they sounds !!!!!
  6. Complimenti from Italy!!!!!! Just a question: where I can buy the magnet for the grilles???? Thanks, Roby.
  7. [] I'm happy for you (anf for me... ;-) ). Bob Crites is an excellent and patient person for me !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
  8. But....about the verdict... They should sound as other Cornscala with ph800..... i hope. Is there any notes about the sound of the Cornscalas with ph800 mid horns here???? Anyone could write about this??? Thanks!
  9. @Herb. I haven't listened to them. I go very slow because I'm very busy. I hope they sounds good!!!! I just can say that the cherry wood is very very nice!!! ;-)
  10. Using decoupling spacers on mid and tweeter I'll have a "flush mount" with grilles on (one target of my Cornscalas...). Note that the holes of the CT125 was modified to use conical head screws (as the mid horns). In the next pic you can see a grille on before using pressed wood (to reduce diffractions and reflections on the external side of the motorboard) and fabric. I just put it on for the shot. Of course the grilles will be painted black before putting fabric on it. Roby.
  11. The PH800 horns where reinforced and dampened and now are on the cabinets... [H]
  12. Awesome 3d!!!!! Compliments from Italy!!!!
  13. I hope!!!!!! Now I'm working on Crites crossovers that will be external and decoupled from the cabinets. See attached photo.
  14. I used pyramidal foam on the back panel and near the woofer on the mid support. I think that should be better for the internal reflections on the 15". It works until 500 Hz (and filtered only with an inductor), so the pyramidal foam should be ok at those frequencies. I used acrylic material on the lateral panels and in the upper part of the port (gray color - thickness 3/4"). I used acrylic material on the upper panel and the internal of the motorboard (white color - thickness 1/2").
  15. Even in the woofer area there is the damping. The color is different and in the shot you can't see it. ;-) I used 3 differents types of damping material.
  16. After a braistorming with Aurion Audio Engineers (Alberto Maltese and Alberto Ingoglia) I decided to follow their advice on cables. I do not use shielded cables, but simples copper/silver and teflon cables. I'm going to try to isolate this from vibrations as the best I can. Now I'm reinforcing the PH 800 Horns. The big surfaces have low thickness, so I'm using fiberglass to have better stiffness. In the shot you can see the first layer of fiberglass. I care about the work is exactly the same between the 2 channels. (I cutted the fiberglass BEFORE mix the resins.... ;-) . My father ROCCO helped me: he's the best!!!!!!! )
  17. In the last week my integrated amplifier returned from Aurion Audio. Aurion Audio is an italian hi-end company that produces amplifiers and make famous modifications (often on cd-players). See their web-site: http://www.aurionaudio.it/ They modified my old Musical Fidelity A1 (solid state, pure class A, 20WrmsX2): I love it!!!! In the future may be I'll use a custom Aurion Audio 6 channel amplifier to multi amp my beasts!!!! Sorry for the bad shots :-(
  18. I'm slowly going on the project. I finished the light internal damping...
