  1. Current Setup: Klipsch RF-83 Klipsch RC-7 Klipsch RS-7 Klipsch RT-10D Recently departed: 2 Pairs of Definitive Technology BP6's that served as my 6-9 channel speakers Current A/V Receiver: Denon AVR-4308 Questions: Has anyone with a similar lineup had experience using Power Amp/Pre-amp combinations that sound A LOT better than using any AVR? My room is 22x13 (picture of layout at ). I asked this in another section, but can anyone tell me how I should have my subwoofer setup? In terms of 40hz all the way turned up to where it says "LFE"? The phase setting? Should it be set on flat, punch, or depth? My receiver also has a subwoofer mode setting which I find it is too timid on the setting for low range and LFE of small speakers, and too high on the setting for low range and LFE of all channels. Has anyone bi-amped or bi-wired the RF-83's and had any luck with better sound? On any AVR? I may be experiencing the "placebo" effect. lol If anyone could help me out at all, that'd be great. Also any suggestions for improving my system within $2000 too. If so, I may sell something. I expect some good feedback here; this forum seems very active with Klipsch enthusiasts.
  2. Ok, so my room layout is located here: I have the RT-10D located in the back of the room, because when I had it up front, it was "too much" bass even turned down, and in the back, it seems to be the perfect "blend" during movies. However, I can't seem to find the "sweet spot". What should I have the HZ setting on? The volume on? The phase on? and should it be set on punch, depth, or flat? My room is 13x23 roughly. I also have Denon AVR-4308, which is a model down from the 5308 (flagship). On there, there's a setting for "subwoofer mode". I currently have it set to play low signal and LFE signal of all speakers "small". There's an option for it to play low signal and LFE signal of all speakers. All my speakers are large (should the RS-7s and the RC-7 be small or large btw?). In 2 channel this doesn't matter; but during movies switching between the two settings seems to dramatically impact the subwoofer; with it being set for all speakers being too loud, and it being set with only small speakers being too timid. I've read a lot of reviews that this ISNT the best bang for your buck subwoofer, but I bought it almost two years ago for $550, so I'm not complaining. I guess I just want to know if there's anywhere better it should be placed, and it it should be set at 40hz, 100hz, or all the way up to where it says "LFE". Please let me know guys, thanks!
  3. Here's my current setup: Fronts: Klipsch RF-83 Center: Klipsch RS-7 Surround: Definitive Technology BP-6 (will be changing to Klipsch RF-82 soon) Subwoofer: Klipsch RT-10D A/V Receiver: Denon AVR-4308 I was recently going to sell everything, but have decided not to. I want to know everyone's opinion on what would be better Front speakers; the RF-83 or RF-63' given my current setup. The towers will sit about 15 feet away from each other and I'll be sitting 12-15 feet away. Now given that information with the receiver I have, will the RF-63's sound the exact same? Or will I achieve better quality listening to the Rf-83's? If I sell my 83's I can downgrade to the 63's and pickup the rc-64 and maybe another subwoofer in my room (26ft long, 15ft wide) I sit in the middle typically. Please let me know, thanks!
